Chicco Keyfit, Graco Snugride or Peg Perego?
asked:
Which of these three car seats should I get, if I do end up getting an infant seat? At this point we are still planning on using just a convertible, but haven’t completely made up our mind. These three will work with the Uppababy stroller that we think we have decided on

After careful consideration, we chose the Chicco brand. The fabric and padding is far superior than Graco, which looks cheaply made and the fabric is 100% nylon/polyester which makes it very hot and sticky. To the touch, the Chicco fabric was much sorfter and the padding way more comfortable and overall, better made and with the EPS foam.
Peg Perego, it is a top rated brand, but it is too expensive considering, you will only usethe infant seat for 9 months. That’s why we chose Chicco, because it was quality, yet affordable.
Good luck

I’m not a mom, we are TTC #1, but I have done a ton of babysitting and nannying and have dealt with all three of these seats. The Peg is the nicest, most cushy looking seat, but it is EXTREMELY heavy, so if you are doing any plane travel, etc, it gets bulky. The Graco is alright, and I thought it was the best until I used the Chicco. The fabric is fantastic, seems super comfortable and is so easy to get in and out of the base and stroller. It is a little heavier than the Graco, but seems to be totally worth it. If you decided not to do the infant seat, my favorite convertible is the Britax Marathon, it is super easy to use and all the kids I have had in that seat have been very comfy and safe!
I hope I helped!

I must say, that is one nice stroller!
I’m always a fan of Graco products. They’re always easy to use, reasonably priced and well made. Although, if I had the money, I would probably get a Peg Perego. The snugride is nice because it isn’t very bulky. The whole point of getting an infant carrier, is so you can carry it around! So you don’t want it to be heavy and bulky. We made that mistake getting the Graco Safeseat (loved the seat, hated to carry it!)
Good luck to you!
