Are blue interior LED lights a car illegal?

I bought some (haven’t recieved them in the mail yet) LED lights for my car. I plan to mount them under the dash and probably in the back seat. It’s a four piece kit.
Anyways, a friend was saying that continuous blue LEDs are illegal in Florida. I said “No…that’s for underglow lights. It’s not illegal if it’s interior and the lights don’t show outside the car.”
But he insists he’s right.
So I’m wanting to confirm who is right.
Is it ok for me to be driving with my blue LEDs in the state of Florida? My car is a convertible, that doesn’t make any difference, right?

they are illegal here in VA, the law used to say it was ok inside the car if it was under the drivers side window line, but they amended it to do away with LEDs entirely back about 2 or 3 yrs ago…

i don’t think so. scion gives you the option for colored interior lights stock from the factory.
but i don’t know i’m just guessing, if its offered by the manufacturer why would it be illegal

I don’t see a problem if you mount them under the window line,as said. since your gonna put them under the dash and seat youll be fine. if you see a cop, just turn them off
both scion and kia, have led accents.
